My forged iron tripods are flagship product for campfire grilling. They're sturdy enough to handle the weight of a large caldron and they come with multiple S-hooks for attachments. Tripods collapse flat for storage and are coated with a food safe mixture of raw linseed oil and beeswax for a nice finish.

Hi, I am Pete VanDyken, the owner and blacksmith behind Van’s Iron Works. Thank you for visiting my website! Van’s Iron Works started in Kalamazoo, Michigan by my great-grandfather who immigrated from the Netherlands in 1911. I inherited some of his tools while I was in my teens and developed a passion for the art of blacksmithing, a passion I’m still cultivating today.
With the heat of the forge, iron can be shaped between the hammer and anvil in ways that cannot be achieved any other way. While closely matching pieces can be made by hand forging, no two will be exactly the same, creating unique one-of-a-kind projects. The possibilities are almost endless!
